DNR Resources

One of the first web resources for DNR Timber Sale info and records is the Board of Natural Resources link ‘BNR‘. Use this link to find a long list of monthly BNR meetings, ach of which includes links to an agenda, meeting recording, and many PDF files, such as Sales Presentation, Sales Fact Sheet, Auction Results for previous month, and Sales Proposal for the next month.

At the bottom of the ‘BNR‘ webpage, click on View past meeting information to access older months; at each past month, the same set of links is available, although the links and document formats do evolve over time.

Archived copies of many key DNR files are compiled into the RJ-DNR Google Drive folder. Some of these include:

  • Timber Sales: individual folders, for key Clallam County sales. Folder title includes encoded auction month and sale name.
  • Timber Sales Presentation:
  • Timber Sales Fact Sheet:
  • Timber Sales Auction Results: showing winning bids, etc., for latest month’s auctions.
  • Timber Sales Proposal (for coming month)

The Timber link at the main DNR webpage offers a Timber Auction Packets link; clicking through goes to a webpage with links to each of the latest twelve months, with each month offering links to an overall Auction Book, as well as links to individual Timber Sale auction packets.

Further down on the DNR ‘Timber’ webpage, a Previous Timber Auction Books link opens a grid of years and months, to access PDF files for past Auction Books. These are helpful, but the more in-depth information is found in individual Timber Sale auction packets, and in the FPA/N files for each timber sale; these PDF files need to be accessed elsewhere.

At the time this webpage was created (December 2024), the grid of Previous Timber Auction Books goes back through 2020. Older Auction Books are available by clicking on the ‘Department’s File Sharing Site‘ link, then clicking through on the ‘Historical Auction Documents‘ link, then opening the ‘Auction Books‘ folder.
